Railway Club Becomes Railway Stage & Beer Café, Commits to Live Entertainment

When the Railway Club closed, a lot of people were bummed. When people heard it was reopening, they were worried it would no longer be a live music space. Now, at least some of that fear can be assuaged.

In a press release, the venue’s new owners (Jeff Donnelly and Chad Cole) announced a commitment to at least four nights of ‘live entertainment’ per week. Take it with a pinch of salt, though, as entertainment doesn’t necessarily mean music, and the release also announced that at least one of those nights would be taken up by a comedy event.

Renamed ‘The Railway Beer & Stage Café, the venue will also seek to become a craft beer hotspot. There will be a 32-brew strong beer list, including a selection of rotating taps. It is predicted to open in Spring 2017.

The owners also announced their commitment to preserving the spirit of the Railway Club, with the press release saying that the owners have sought expert guidance in order to “keep the all-important feel which makes the room special.”
